Morning Adventures

Zach woke up early (4:57 a.m.!) and decided to hop on-line to see who won the Florida primaries.

Once he got caught up with his news, he took a rolling/scooting trip around the living room. The computer is in the same place, so you can get an idea of how far he went.

Happy To See Mom

How could you not look forward to coming home when this is what greets you?

I Can Feed Myself

Further demonstrating his newly found independence, Big Z has started to hold his own bottle. The orange on his face and hands are remnants of sweet potatoes. He didn't have the patience to be cleaned before downing the bottle.

I'm A Smart Baby

Two days ago, Zach figured out how to remove the end of the toy bar from his rocking seat. Now his new favorite pastime is trying to put the end in his mouth.

Pushing Up!

Zach has started to push himself up on his hands and knees. He's also started scooting backward on the floor by pushing back on his arms. He gets very frustrated because he wants to move forward and always ends up going backward. I can't leave him alone in the middle of the room anymore because he'll end up on the the side of the room if I turn my head.

Maxin' and Relaxin'

Try as we might, Zach refuses to sit up in the tub. He much prefers to lounge with his head against the side. He's so big that we've been forced to put the baby tub in the big tub and fill it so that water flows over the edges.

I May Not Like Rice Cereal...

But I love me some bib!

My New High Chair

Here's Zach trying out his high chair for the first time.

Still not a fan of the rice cereal, though.

My Frog Towel

Fresh out of the tub, wrapped up in his favorite frog towel.

Hanging with Uncle Ray...

Uncle Ray came to visit after Christmas. Zach had a good time playing with him, and christening him with his first shot of baby spit-up!

What the Heck Are You Feeding Me, Mom?

Since Zach is over 4 months and weighs more than 20 pounds, we got the OK from his pediatrician to start feeding him "real" food. Here's some shots of his first taste of rice cereal (he wasn't a big fan).

I Love The Jumperoo!

Here's a somewhat grainy video of big Z having a good time in his Rainforest Jumperoo!

Christmas!

Zachary could hardly contain his excitement about his very first Christmas. Here he is getting quality time in with Grandma.

He got a neat sorter that about which he was equally excited.

He did wake up to play with his new rattle from Giogi Ray and Grammary.
He was also excited to spend some time with Polly.
